Children & Youth
Investing in the Next Generation
Our children and youth are not just the church of tomorrow; they are a vital part of our church today. Our strategic mission is to partner with families to lay a strong spiritual foundation, teaching them about God’s love, the truth of Scripture, and preparing them to follow Jesus on life's road ahead.
“Let the children come to Me” – Jesus
We invite your children to join us each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for engaging Sunday School and other ministry opportunities designed to nurture their faith. Parents are encouraged to participate and connect under the direction of Kathy Ebener (404-542-5571; bigcanoekids@gmail.com).
"Let the little ones come…"
Each Sunday Big Canoe Chapel provides a staffed nursery for children up to age 4. Nursery is available for the 9:00am Service as well as Children's Sunday School at 10:30am. Through interactive games, crafts, and storytime, our youngest are introduced to and learn about Jesus.
"Summertime is Funtime"
Summers are action-packed at the Chapel. Summer Art Camp and Summer Vacation Bible School headline the activities for our kids. Check here often for dates, times and other important information!
We’re home to Cub Scouts from Big Canoe, Bent Tree, Jasper, Dawsonville, Marble Hill, Tate, and Ballground. Our pack is chartered by the Big Canoe Chapel, but it is not necessary to be a Chapel member to join us.
Youth who have completed grades 6-12 are challenged to go deeper in their faith. We encourage them to experience authentic Christian fellowship, engage in relevant Bible studies, and discover discipleship opportunities to serve within the Chapel and beyond.
"Let’s get together…"
Middle school and high school students meet each Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. It’s a great time to come together for fellowship, dinner, games, good times and to learn about God, His presence, His power, and His plan for everyone.
We’re home to Boy Scouts from Big Canoe, Bent Tree, Jasper, Dawsonville, Marble Hill, Tate, and Ballground. Our troop is chartered by the Big Canoe Chapel, but it is not necessary to be a Chapel member to join and be a Troop 20 Scout.
