Staff & Leadership
Knowing the Way, Going the Way, and Showing the Way
We believe church leadership is about stewarding the vision God has entrusted to us. At Big Canoe Chapel, our leaders—led by our chief shepherd, Jesus Christ—are dedicated to guiding our congregation in spiritual growth, fostering deep member engagement, and facilitating our mission to the world.
Chaplains: Providing vision, pastoral care, prayer, and teaching to equip the body for spiritual maturity.
Trustees: Managing financial, legal, and property resources to strategically support the Chapel’s mission and ministry.
Committees: Leading specific areas such as Missions, Technology, and Property to mobilize the congregation for service.
Our church’s spiritual vitality and missional impact rely on the partnership between our dedicated staff and volunteers. They are the guides and shepherds of our community.
Our staff leads with wisdom and grace, working tirelessly to execute our mission of growth and engagement. They are complemented by our volunteer leaders, who generously share their passion to drive our various ministries forward and create inclusive spaces for service.
The ultimate goal of all our leaders—staff and volunteer alike—is to equip the congregation. They nurture a culture of empowerment, ensuring every person has the tools and mentorship needed to use their Spirit-given gifts within the Body of Christ.
Big Canoe Chapel offers a wide range of service opportunities grouped into four main areas: enhancing worship and hospitality, fostering community connection and spiritual growth, extending compassion through outreach, and stewarding the church's resources and operations. From greeting on Sunday mornings to managing finances or leading mission work, there is a place for every member to use their unique gifts to fuel the Chapel's mission.
