Finding Strength Together: Support Groups

Life’s hardest moments—losing a loved one, facing illness, fighting addiction, or struggling with loneliness—were never meant to be faced alone. Big Canoe Chapel offers support groups to ensure you have a caring community to walk beside you. We are here for you.

Alcoholics Anonymous

AA is a fellowship of men and women sharing their experience, strength, and hope to solve their common problem and help others achieve sobriety. The only requirement is a desire to stop drinking. While meeting space is provided by the Chapel, AA is self-supporting and not allied with any sect or denomination. Meetings are held every Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Broyles Community Center (Teen Room).

Blanket Ministry: Wrapping Others in Love

Since 2012, our Blanket Ministry has stitched love into every prayer blanket. Our purpose is to bring comfort and joy to those who are sick, grieving, lonely, or undergoing medical treatment. Each blanket carries a message reminding the recipient they are wrapped in God's love.

Need a blanket? Anyone may pick one up from the cabinet in Room 103 on the lower level to give to someone hurting.

Want to help? Join us to create blankets on the third Monday of every month at 9 a.m. in McCormick Hall. It’s a labor of love and fellowship.
