“Send Good News to the Ends of the Earth”
The global pandemic isn’t stopping Operation Christmas Child from delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls in the far corners of the world. Children need hope now more than ever in such uncertain times, and these tangible expressions of God’s love can be a great encouragement. Most important, children need to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ!
Boxes are still available at the Chapel, the Postal Facility and the Fitness Center. The deadline for returning shoeboxes is November 7th. Also, a variety of free items are still available and can be picked up on October 31 at Stand-Around or on November 1 and 2 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm.
For those who cannot get out or may not feel comfortable shopping, Build-A-Box is an option. The box can be packed from your computer or handheld device. In just a few clicks, you can select toys and other fun items to include and then, personalize it by adding your own letter and photo. Information on how to Build-A-Box is available at. The cost is $25 and includes $9 for shipping.
So, whether you pack a traditional shoebox, build one online, or give to the project in some way, it all gives a child the opportunity to experience God’s Greatest Gift—Jesus Christ.
