Men's Study

One of the great Christian thinkers and writers of the 20th century was C. S. Lewis.  He wrote numerous books on various Christian thoughts that were insightful and challenging to the readers.

A group of men participate in a C. S. Lewis Discussion Group that meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at the Big Canoe Chapel.  The group meets to discuss selected Lewis books and share personal reactions and impressions.  The discussion is always lively and thoughtful.

The next meeting of the group will be on January 12th and begin the study of Mere Christianity. This book was written in 1952 and adapted from a series of BBC radio talks Lewis made while at Oxford during the Second World War.  This book is considered a classic in Christian thought and daily application.  If you are interested in reading and discussing classic Christian literature contact Chuck Gordon at 770-241-4616 for more information. The group would welcome your participation.

THERE’S DEFINITELY HOPE because you can start where you are, right now – not where someone else is. That’s the beauty of the HOME STRETCH! It’s a chance to make a difference by uniquely growing in grace.

Which one of these five best describes where you are at this moment?

  1. You have never witnessed before of your faith in Christ but are willing to be stretched a little
  2. You’re afraid of what people may say or think of your testimony
  3. You are inconsistent in your witness
  4. You are canned in your approach and leave love out of your witness…you must learn to be compelled by love
  5. You have witnessed but want to dramatically increase your witness, so we’ll focus on growing in love by becoming a John 3:16 witness.

Join us as we learn together.
