Market Place

On May 18 and 19, during the Legacy Tour of Homes, the Chapel Broyles Center and surrounding outdoor space will be filled with a wonderful Market Place of shopkeepers and vendors touting glitz and glamour as well as practical and pretty items to sell.  Mark your calendars now for a fun filled weekend!

 

BOOK NOOK
Book Nook Collection Boxes have been removed and collections closed for this year.  Please join us on May 18-19 and purchase from our selection of “hard” and “soft” bound Fiction; Non-Fiction – History & Biographies; Children’s Books; CD’s DVD’s and Audio Books.
COLLECTORS’ CORNER
Shop for great bargains on gently used home accessories, linens, china, silver, glassware, antiques, small furniture items, and ladies accessories.

Crazy Bear Café

Grilled to Perfection!

 Open until 5:00 p.m. on Friday and until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, as long as supplies last.

MENU

Biscuits and coffee  –  $5
Chicken Sandwich  –  $5
Hamburger  –  $5
Hot Dog  –  $5
Drinks  –  $2

All combos are $8 and include sandwich, chips and a drink.

Relax awhile and enjoyed a grilled sandwich at the Crazy Bear Café, located in the Lower Chapel Parking Lot

 BEAR PAW BAKERY

Your donations of homemade cupcakes, cakes, cookies, sweet rolls, brownies and snacks, including gluten-free and diabetic friendly items, will be accepted in the Broyles Center kitchen from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.on Thursday, May 17 and on Friday morning, May 18.  There will also be a drive-by, drop-off table outside the Chapel on Thursday.

Please label all donations and mark if your item contains nuts.  Volunteers will package and price items for sale.

Will and Kay Lake specialize in hand-carved and hand painted birds and animals.  They also offer pet portraits, nature drawings and paintings.
HANDMAIDEN
Offers a delightful selection of purses and handbags.

Big Canoe resident, Cindy Bonner, creates
beautiful functional pottery.
LACES OF LORE
Wearable art, including scarves, vests, and laces.
ANDREWS TOFFEE
Delicious handmade toffee packaged in
decorative boxes and bags.   
HOT OFF THE VINE
Decorative items made of hand painted gourds,
including vessels, jewelry, ornaments, and
musical instruments
 
K & R STUDIO
Wood turned items including platters, hollow
forms, kitchen items, art forms, and
quilted pieces.

Soups, tapenades, and dips.

Beautifully created bracelets made with coins.

MEN’S TOYS AND TOOLS

An area at the Legacy of Caring Marketplace will be set aside to offer gently used tools and sporting goods of interest to men. Donations for this store will be accepted at the Big Canoe Chapel Broyles Center, lower level, the week of the marketplace, starting on Monday, May 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
