Do not neglect
to do good and to share
what you have,
for such sacrifices are
pleasing to
God Hebrews 13:16
As our Chapel continues to grow and becomes an even stronger central focus in our
member’s lives, it’s faced with the same challenges as Churches across America;
future financial security and unforeseen opportunities for ministry.
In the life of any Church there’s a constant ebb and flow of financial
needs. Members give generously and the Church continues to grow its programs,
staff, facilities and its important mission of outreach. Most of this is
planned and anticipated, but sometimes the unexpected comes along which
requires additional support; anything from repairing storm damaged facilities
to adding a critical asset in support of Chapel ministries - things that are
not a part of the day to day operations.
That’s where the Chapel Endowment Fund can be a real asset. It’s taking a long-term view of future growth
coupled with long-term “planned giving” through members’ tax-advantaged estate planning, bequests and special gifts.
In the weeks ahead you’ll be seeing and hearing much more about the
Chapel’s new Endowment Fund. We hope you’ll take the time prayerfully to
consider how you and your family might become involved.
To help us kick off the fund, a few anonymous donors have established a
generous $150,000 matching fund which will match dollar for dollar, up to the
first $5,000 of a member’s planned commitment until the fund is depleted. This is a
wonderful opportunity for you and the Chapel to make our commitments go so much
further.
If you have any further questions, please contact the Chapel office at
706-268-3203, who will get you in touch with someone from the Endowment
Committee.
