By Bonnie Carlton Big Canoe Chapel youth traveled to Ashville, North Carolina, to do mission work through home repair. The following students participated in this ReCreation Experiences Program from June 20–26: Colin Burris, Amanda Denkler, Drew Denkler, Ben Drew, Jeff Drew, Susannah Melton, Nick Osgood, Austin Reed, and Kyle Watters. They were accompanied by Mark Denkler and Bonnie Carlton.
The group worked on two different homes that required painting, roofing, remodeling a bathroom, and building a deck. It was hard work in the hot sun, but so rewarding as they were able to become acquainted with the homeowners that they worked for each day.
Each morning began with an inspirational worship service and ended with a time together with youth from the Grace Community Church in Boca Raton, Florida. It was a great week for everyone, and we are thankful to those back home who supported us on our trip and prayed for us while we were away.

Wyldlife Weekend at Sharp Top Cove
By Bonnie Carlton
Director of Youth Ministry
Wyldlife Weekend was held at Young Life's Sharp Top Cove on March 5–7. Thirty middle school students from Pickens County and four Wyldlife leaders attended the fantastic event. During the weekend we experienced "club" and heard the Gospel presented in a way that was engaging and meaningful. Then, too, we played some crazy games and sang some great songs.
We also rock climbed, rode the Giant Swing, played Frisbee golf, ate s'mores by the bonfire, climbed the Quantum Leap, and rode the zip line 800 feet into the freezing cold lake! We had a blast! Here's a look at the amazing time we shared and the memories we made!

Chapel Youth Rock Climbing Challenge
By Bonnie Carlton
On Monday, February 15, Big Canoe Chapel youth went rock climbing at Escalade in Kennesaw. Some of us were experienced climbers, while others were challenged to reach new heights! The 14 Youth Fellowship members were accompanied by Cay Drew, Tracy Bost, and Bonnie Carlton. It turned out to be a great afternoon and a fun way to spend the President's Day holiday from school.

| Charles |
The Youth Ministry at Big Canoe Chapel is sponsoring a child with Compassion International. Charles lives in Kenya with his mother and father and he has one sibling. The support that we’re giving will help Charles receive an education, health care and also give him the opportunity to hear the gospel and learn about Jesus.
We are excited to write to Charles and more importantly to pray for him and his family. We are looking forward to hearing from him and getting updates on his progress and learning more about his life and his culture.
Compassion International is a non-denominational Christian ministry that works with local church partners and fellowships representing more than 50 evangelical, Christ-centered denominations.
Presently, Compassion serves more than 1 million children in 25 developing countries.
You can learn more about this ministry by visiting their website at http://compassion.com.
