The Terraces Amphitheater, on Steve Tate Road in Big Canoe, was dedicated in April 2001. As we are approaching its 10th Anniversary of popular productions, it's time to start getting serious about upgrading the facility. This month the Terraces Committee is embarking on a project that will result in a beautifully roofed and staged venue by the spring of 2011. 

It is easy to understand why such improvements are desirable. Very simply, it rains here in North Georgia and for us to continue to provide the top notch entertainment we've become accustomed to, we need to protect the valuable equipment and instruments so vital in all Terraces productions. Without a roofed stage, we are limited in the types and number of performances the facility can accommodate.  With adequate protection, think of the many events and productions we could enjoy at the Terraces. How about full choral groups, orchestras, theater productions, movies, and summer stock and dinner theaters! The variety is endless and only limited to your imagination! by participating in the Brick Donation Project

Around our circular flagstone stage (and in front of the new performance stage), we will install commemorative paver bricks that you can donate with your engraved inscription. This is an ideal way to honor and recognize a friend or loved one and, at the same time, make a positive difference in the future of the Terraces here in our community and in North Georgia.
