MISSION STATEMENT

Since its inception in 1989, the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Guild has raised more than $1.8 million to support local charitable organizations in Pickens and Dawson counties. The Guild is proud to continue this Legacy of Caring each year by hosting several events throughout the year.

[95% of monies raised goes directly to charity.]

In 2018, the Women’s Guild raised over $130,000 to benefit charities that focus on enabling the well-being of women and children.

 

SAVE THE DATES

November 11 and December 1, 2018 – Casseroles to Go!

Support the Legacy of Caring by purchasing one or more of our home-prepared casseroles at Chapel Stand Around or after the second Service on Sunday, November 11. Casseroles will also be available for sale on December 1 in conjunction with the Christmas Collectors’ Corner.

*Sign up at the Women’s Guild Meeting on September 13 or at Big Canoe Chapel Stand-                   Around beginning September 30, to prepare, donate and freeze a casserole for delivery to
the  Chapel on the day of the sale.  We will provide the recipe, the pan and instructions!

 December 1, 2018 – Christmas Collector’s Corner

The Legacy of Caring Christmas Collectors’ Corner will be held in the Broyles Center on Saturday, December 1, 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., and from the close of the POA meeting until 1:30 p.m.

*Donation of gently used Christmas decorations and home accessories will be accepted at the         Postal Facility on Saturdays; November 3, 10, and 24, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon.

April 26 – 27, 2019 – Springtime Marketplace

Featuring new and returning Vendors, Bear Paw Baker, The Book Nook, Collectors’ Corner, and Crazy Bear Cafe’.

May 4, 2019 – Legacy of Caring Gala and Auction, a Celebration of Giving

Angels in the Woods
